A next door neighbor's tree fell on this customer's deck, also motivating him to remove two large and hazardous oak trees growing over the home. The tops of the trees were removed by setting up a zip-line across the length of the property. Individual limbs were attached to the zip-line and sent over the top of the house right to the back of the dump truck. Once enough height had been removed from the tops, we used an 18-ton crane to remove the heavy trunks.

This customer has a very large chestnut oak tree growing away from his deck, but has a very large limb that grows back over the home. Removing the entire limb would harm the tree and disrupt its normal growth, so we suggested bracing the limb in order to keep it from splitting and falling on the house.

This tree was so hollow that any of us could crawl 20 feet through the trunk. That made climbing a bit dangerous, so we temporarily removed the chain-link fence in order to gain access with our bucket truck. Limbs were roped down via fulcrums of adjacent trees until enough weight had been removed for limbs to be lowered using the victim tree.

This Maple was the biggest tree we've removed. It was nearly 90 feet tall with a base 7 feet in diameter at its widest point. The tree had been cabled after it had grown over 3 houses and 2 separate garages. Some years before we removed it, this Maple tree was struck by lightning, leader limbs had decomposed through the middle, and the owner felt it was becoming an unreasonable risk to her immediate community.

Blewett Tree Service pruned over 90 trees at property owned by Unum Provident this year. Our work will extend the life of Bradford Pears bordering their parking lots by 30% with a single pruning, and even more when done every 3-5 years. Live Oaks surrounding the buildings and parking lots were pruned for clearance of both buildings, vehicles, and pedestrians.

Blewett Tree Service was the first of five companies to arrive at the customer's home, giving an estimate for removing this partially uprooted oak tree. Two adjacent trees supported its weight and prevented it from falling on the home. This type of situation is very unstable and makes for a technical removal process. Because of its difficulty, at least three companies declined even giving an estimate. We stabilized the tree, removed it with great precision, and even came back to fill dirt into the tracks left by heavy equipment on the lawn.
