By nature of the business, we are left to dispose of copious amounts of otherwise usable timber.  I have been thinking of ways to reasonably scale-up production of locally harvested lumber for several years, but the idea still needs a few key elements to fall into place before it becomes realized. We believe the idea could be profitable in the long-run, understand that it will most certainly begin as a labor of love, and will only work with the right combination of logistics and marketing. In the meantime I've been having Push Hard Lumber company, of Signal Mtn, rough cut the wood, and have managed to talk a few friends into letting me stack lumber to dry in some unobscure corners of their properties.
